Blessed Redeemer

Verse 1

Em           Am7                   Em

Up Calvary's mountain one dreadful morn

                 Am7               Em

Walked Christ my Savior, weary and worn

            Am7                  Em

Facing for sinners death on the cross

              Am7                     Em

That He might save them from endless loss

CHORUS

Blessed Redeemer, precious Redeemer

            Em                   Am7

Seems now I see Him on Calvary's tree

             G                    D

Wounded and bleeding, for sinners pleading

           Em                 Am7 G   D

Blind and unheeding, dying for me

Verse 2

Em           Am7                   Em

Father, forgive them, my Savior prayed

                 Am7                 Em

Even while His lifeblood flowed fast away

            Am7                   Em

Praying for sinners while in such woe

            Am7             Em

No one but Jesus ever loved so

CHORUS

Oh how I love Him, Savior and friend

           Am7               Em

How can my praises ever find end

                Am7                   Em

Through years unnumbered on Heaven's shore

               Am7              Em

My songs shall praise Him forevermore
