1 A useless servant, I stand before Thee;
For strength and firmness, now I do implore Thee
Feeling my weakness, I come in meekness
Cleanse my soul, O Father; hear my earnest plea!
2.A useless servant, I need correction;
Teach me Thy will, Lord; help my imperfection
With strength supply me, and sanctify me;
By Thy love and mercy, I can be restored.
3.A useless servant, I m weak and failing;
I need Thy help, Lord; evils are assailing
Virtue I m pleading; comfort I m needing
"Grant me Thy compassion," is my humble plea.
