Re Mi Fa#m Do#m Capo 1st Fret
(or La Si Do#m Sol#m Capo 4th Fret)
Update - 11th January '14: Okay, so I recently purchased this song on iTunes, and
discovered that these chords are in the wrong key (oops...). To play along with
the actual song, transpose +7 and put a capo on the 4th fret.
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
Well she won't leave this night alone
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
And she won´t sleep at all
Re Mi
And all the sorrow that she takes out on herself
Fa#m Do#m
It comes around and leaves her bleeding on the floor
Re Mi
And she knows, yeah she knows
Fa#m Do#m
That there's a lot of ugly things about this world
Re Mi Fa#m
These street lights, they shine bright
Do#m Re
As they illuminate the darkness of the pavement
Mi Fa#m
They shine, as we try
To write it on her arms
Do#m Re
The love she longs to taste
Mi Fa#m
And we'll find that inside
Do#m
That she's a broken heart that anyone could save
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Re Mi Fa#m
Feeling worthless, self-destruction
Do#m Re
Try to take control of this
Mi Fa#m
Find a purpose, reconstruction
Do#m Re
Write it somewhere it will stick
Mi Fa#m
And stars are hiding now
Do#m Re
But there's something out there still
Mi Fa#m
And she knows, yeah she knows
Do#m
That there's an awful lot of beauty in this world.
Re Mi Fa#m
These street lights, they shine bright
Do#m Re
As they illuminate the darkness of the pavement
Mi Fa#m
They shine, as we try
To write it on her arms
Do#m Re

Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Re Mi
And the stars are always there
Fa#m Do#m
But we miss them in the dirt and clouds
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
We miss them in the storms
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
Remember hope
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
Remember hope
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
Hold onto hope
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
We have hope
Re Mi Fa#m Do#m
Hold onto hope
(It's alright) (x8)
