Mates of State son un duo norteamericano de indierock que llevan tocando desde 1997. El grupo está compuesto por un matrimonio que se llaman Kori Gardner y Jason Hammel. Kori canta, toca un Electone, un Hammond B-3, un sintetizador Casio synthesizer, el piano y en ocasiones la guitarra.Jason también canta y toca la batería, toda la percusión y de manera ocasional también el Casio.
