All I Am
--------
by dada From the album "American Highway Flower"
Transcribed by Jeff Matson ([email protected])
as far as i can tell, this song is based almost exclusively around a simple
riff and a nice, easy picking pattern for the chorus. because i'm feeling
really lazy, i'm only going to provide these two parts, and let you folks
out there figure out what goes where in the song. if you have the album,
it's really easy to do anyway.
Verse Chords
the key to this part is to alternate a Bm with a plain ol' second-fret
barre (222222) and then end with a G (355433)
Bm Bm (222222) Bm Bm (222222) Bm Bm (222222) G G
Chorus Picking
okay, now that you've mastered that part, here is my rough idea of the picking
that goes on in the chorus.
[tab]e -------0------------0------------0------------0---------|
B ---3-----3------3-----3------3-----3------3-----3-------|
G -----2-----2--0---0-----0--1---1-----1--0---0-----0-----|
D -0------------------------------------------------------|
^^^^^^^^^^^^
in some repetitions of the chorus
picking this part is omitted and a
G chord is struck, usually to lead
back into the verse chords.[/tab]
As far as I can tell, the really fast parts are the same as the verse chords,
only faster and choppier.
if anyone feels like cleaning up or adding to this, please feel free.
