>From the Album "Instant Clarity"
Intro: G C D G
[tab] G
There is no place for me[/tab]
[tab] C
And no one to set me free[/tab]
[tab]A D
There is no way to go[/tab]
[tab] G
There is no place for me[/tab]
[tab] C
Where it's warm, where I can be[/tab]
[tab]A D
At least there is no place that I know[/tab]
[tab] C D C G
Sometimes it's hard to see that you're running out of luck[/tab]
[tab]A D
Right now it's my own life I don't know[/tab]
[tab] F C
With everything I did I was the one who laughed[/tab]
[tab] A# F2
Yes I was always tall and smiled[/tab]
[tab] F C
Yes everything I did I thought would always last[/tab]
[tab] A# F2
And I felt always strong inside[/tab]
[tab] G
Now there's no place for me[/tab]
[tab] C
And no one to set me free[/tab]
[tab]A D
There is no way to go[/tab]
[tab] G
There is no place for me[/tab]
[tab] C
Where it's warm, where I can be[/tab]
[tab]A D
At least there is no place that I know[/tab]
[tab] C D C G
But I'm fine, I'm alright even though there's nothing left[/tab]
[tab]A D
'Cos what it means I'm sure will show[/tab]
[tab] F C
Somewhere along the way I lost the key for it[/tab]
[tab] A# F2
But I was always true inside[/tab]
[tab] F C
Somewhere inside myself I'm praying for a bit[/tab]
[tab] A# F2
Of what was always open wide[/tab]
[tab]A# F2
When I look around there's only broken glass I see[/tab]
[tab] C A#
And everywhere I reach it's hurting me[/tab]
[tab]A# F2
Looking back I find there was not much how it should be[/tab]
[tab] C
It's slowly killing me![/tab]
[tab] D#
I got to go, kick all dust off my shoes[/tab]
[tab]C A#
Take all that's good inside and turn it 'round[/tab]
[tab] A# F2
'Cos with everything I did I was the one who laughed[/tab]
[tab] D# A#
Yes I was always tall and smiled[/tab]
[tab] A# F2
Somewhere inside myself I'm praying for a bit[/tab]
[tab] D# A#
Of what was always open wide[/tab]
Ok, I've worked this out for acoustic guitar and it works quite well with recording and for you
to play it by yourself. The key change near the end makes things a bit difficult. It's a bit
tough finding an octave for the A# so I've just left the same one in there. You may want to play
just the high strings the second time maybe. Other than that it's pretty straight forward.
It's a brilliant song and I hope you enjoy the transcription. Vic
