I ve been riding down this
                
 track, for oh so many years

Along the way I ve had my
                                     
Share of happiness and tears

And all those times I rode
                  
Alone just seemed to cause 

Me pain
  
I can leave them all behind
                                
Cause now you hold the reins

                          
And only Heaven knows just
                                   
How long this trail will be
                               
So I ll just keep on riding
                                        
Till the sun goes down on me
                              
When the last light fades 

away
                               
Heaven s gates will open 

wide
        
And You ll be there to meet 
                 
me Lord 
                             
At the end of my ride



There ll be rough roads up
                     
Ahead and I ll have to face

Them all
       
But You ll be there to sit me
                                      
Straight in the saddle, You
                     
Won t let me fall
        
This ride I m on ain t easy
      
But I feel safe and sure

Knowing when I reach the
                          
End I m Yours forevermore
