CAPO: 7th fret (Will then sound in the original recorded key of Em)
Chord names and fret positions are relative to the capo:
= x02000 = 022000 = x02223
= 020000 = 320002 * = x02225
= 020002 = x32000 = x34000
= x02010 = 320033 * = 32000x
= x32010 = x02220 * = 32400x
= xx0232 = x02222 = 320000
The keyboards play an Em7 to Bm in the intro and verses, while Alun Hull
is playing a 7thsus2 and a minor 7th on capoed acoustic guitar.
Without the benefit of bass guitar and keyboards to emphasise the root,
the A7sus2 to Em7 guitar chords I don t feel are distinct enough for one
guitar on it s own, so I ve opted to show Am7 to Em7 as the chord change
in the verses, you could also use these in the intro too if you wish.
Just like the riff around the A at the end of the chorus, the mandolin
riff in the intro that comes in for 8 bars just before the vocal,
can be simulated on guitar by adding the notes on the 1st and 2nd
strings to the two intro chords.
You could improvise around these shapes:
= x02000 = 020005
A13sus2 = x02002 Em7 = 020003
= x02003 = 020002
= 020030
At the end of verses 2, 3 & 4 as the stop on the Em sustains, you could
add the bass beats with the open bottom string over those 2 bars.

[Verse 1]
Bashee playing magician sitting lotus on the floor,
Belly dancing beauty with a power driven saw,
Had my share of nightmares, didn t think there could be much more,
Then in walked Roderick Usher with the Lady Eleanor----!
[Verse 2]
She ...tied my eyes with the ribbon of a silken ghostly thread,
I gazed, with troubled vision, on an old four - poster bed,
Where Eleanor had risen to kiss the neck below my head,
Then bid me come a - long with her to the land of the dancing dead----!
[Chorus]
But it s al - right, Lady Elea - nor-----, al - right, Lady Elea - nor-----,
*
I m al - right where I am!

[Verse 3]
She...gazed with the love and beauty, like a mother to a son,
Like living, dying, seeing, being, all rolled into one,
Then, all at once, I heard some music playing in my bones,
The same old song I d heard for years, re - minding (a -)me of home-----!
[Chorus]
But it s al - right, Lady Elea - nor-----, al - right, Lady Elea - nor-----,
*
I m al - right where I am!

[Verse 4]
Then...creeping on towards me, licking lips with tongues of fire,
A host of golden demons screaming lust, and base desire,
And when it seemed for certain that the screams could get no higher,
I heard a voice, a - bove the rest, screaming you re a liar----!
[Chorus & Coda]
But it s al - right, Lady Elea - nor-----, al - right, Lady Elea - nor-----,
* * *
I m al - right here in your arms!
