There s a lighthouse on the hillside
And it overlooks life s sea.
And When my soul is tossed you know it sends out a light
A light that I might see.
And the light that shines in darkness now will safely lead me home,
And I know, I know If it wasn t for the lighthouse,
I know my ship would sail no more.
Now everybody that lives around us, all around us
Well they all say tear the lighthouse down, and they say
We all know the big ships they don t sail by this way anymore,
There just ain t no use in that poor old thing standing round
But then my mind goes way on back to that stormy night, when I
when just in time thank God I saw the light
Don t you know it was the light from that old lighthouse,
that stands up there yes it does on the hill.
And I thank God for The Lighthouse, I owe my life to Him.
Jesus is The Lighthouse and from the rocks of sin,
He has shown the light around me, so that I might clearly see.
If it wasn t for The Lighthouse, Where would this ship be?
